Vitex glabrata (Bush Currant)
Vitex glabrata, commonly known as Bush Currant and Black Currant Tree, prefers to grows on sandplains and in vine thickets. It is not very common and to this point in time has only been recorded at three locations on the Dampier Peninsula. It also occurs in the Northern Territory and Queensland. The Bush Currant has en edible fruit which is about the size of a marble and purple-black when ripe.
