Cyanostegia cyanocalyx - Northern Tinsel Flower

Found flowering gloriously along the road to Bidyadanga in November. This plant appears to be promoted by roadside distirbance – Has anyone tried growing this?

Yes I tried to grow it once- unsuccessfully. Prepared a loose sandy (pindan) mound on my Broome verge and planted a transplanted patch of it (sorry!). It never took; like many natives it does not like being dug up and transplanted.

Another place you can see it (July-Aug?) in the Kimberley is between Ngumban Cliff and Moongardie community on the FXing- Halls Creek road.
Yes beautiful.
