Neil Hamaguchi photographed this flowering Turkey Bush high on rocky ridge in a remote spot on the Kimberley coast.

What amazing Kimberley plant or animals have you seen lately? Look out for the stunning pink flowers of Calytrix exstipulata, there are some lovely examples flowering at Lotteries House garden(Broome) at the moment. Found throughout the Kimberley Calytrix exstipulata is aslo known by the more  common names of  Kimberley Heath or Turkey Bush.

This Tuesday 7 August SKIPA’s are meeting at KTI your local TAFE  horticultural compound from 4.30pm onwards. Last week we had a great turn out, got lots of work done and had a quick look at the amazing vegie garden cultivated by the lecturers and students. Inspiring!

Come down and check out what we are growing and for potting up fun on Tuesday. Dont forget your closed in shoes. Hope to see you there.
