Flowering at the moment around town is Persoonia falcata, perhaps you know it as the Wild Pear or Geebung, Gamooloon (in Bard country), Wongatt (in Nyul Nyul) or as Ngaliwany (Yawuru)

If you are interested in helping out and learning more about Kimberley native plants and animals come along, all are welcome. This week we are meeting at Minyirr Park on Tuesday Sept 4 from 4pm onwards, to help pull out a few more of those non-native species yes – WEEDS.  Phone 9192 1922 or email skipas@environskimberley.org.au for more info. Wear closed in shoes, bring a hat and water bottle, meet at Gubinge rd between De Marchi & Howe.
