Kimberley Rainforest showcase Garden @KTI

rainforest garden photo of slide (2)SKIPA has been working on  creating a very special rainforest garden at Kimberley Training Institute (your local TAFE) periodically, since 2010. What was once a level patch of lawn has been transformed into a growing micro Kimberley rainforest complete with vines, ferns, grasses, herbs, shrubs and towering trees. Check out just how fast plants grow here – it is quite amazing and can be found opposite the KTI/TAFE library in Broome. Very soon the garden will have some interpretive signage in place. We will also have available on this website a map and list of plant species for the gardeners amongst you, who want to learn what is what. Maybe you would like to grow your own micro-habitat in your yard. Stay tuned – we hope to have this all organised very soon.
