Passiflora foetida (Wild Passion Fruit)

This climber is native to South America and the West Indies but now widely spread throughout the tropical regions of the world. The seeds of the Wild Passion Fruit plant are widely spread by birds, wind and water. It is a common, fast growing weed in coastal areas and grows over other plants or on the ground, often strangeling and choking native vegetation. The yellow-orange fruit is can be eaten raw but when green are highly toxic!
